NPD results out: Industry down by 29 ; Wii Sports Resorts, DS reign
For the fifth consecutive month, the US gaming industry experiences a downward slip, this time with a 29 year-over-year decline to US 848.9 million.
According to the released stats, hardware sales dropped by 37 to US 280.94 million. Pachter almost had it spot on, with a prediction of 36 year-on-year unit decline for the consoles. Meanwhile, software fell 26 to US 436.99 million and even accessories dropped 12 to US 130.97 million.
